This seaside terrace restaurant sits on the Kaivopuisto shoreline, by the strait between Uunisaari and Harakka islands. It was founded in 2011 by Antero and Esko Vartia. It serves summer drinks and light snacks, and has a beach area with beach chairs and an upstairs lounge with sofas. DJs play at weekends until late in the evening.
It operates all summer, with weather-dependent opening. The terrace suits both formal celebrations and casual visits, and table packages are offered at the renovated Mattolaituri Beach area. Dogs are welcome, with water bowls and biscuits provided. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
