This is the largest outdoor recreation area in East Helsinki, reaching down to the sea with smooth bedrock shores, shore meadows and black alders along the coast, and bogs and forests further inland. It also has old villa-style houses and the historic Skata farm with its grazing land.
A figure-eight nature trail with two loops of different lengths runs through the area. There are two cooking shelters and a toilet, and the car park and entrance are step-free.
