This Helsinki seaside park lies right on the water, with sea views that change with the seasons; in winter you can watch skaters and ice surfers out on the ice. Within walking distance are Gallen-Kallela's studio home at Tarvaspää, Alvar Aalto's house museum, the Didrichsen Art Museum, Tamminiemi (the Urho Kekkonen Museum) and the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum.
It is a spot for picnics and suitable for children, and dogs are allowed. Access is step-free, and it is easy to reach by car or public transport. On the shore, Café Torpanranta serves soup lunches, pastries and ice cream, with sea views from its large terrace.
