Mari Nikonen has taught Finnish to adults in Helsinki since 2008. She holds a master's degree in Finnish as a second language from the University of Helsinki and co-authored the YKI textbook YKIä kohti and the pronunciation textbook Fonetiikkaa suomen kielen oppijoille.
She offers private lessons and Finnish courses for adults, both in person and online. The focus is on speaking and listening skills and on preparing for the YKI test, Finland's national language proficiency exam. Lessons are taught in Finnish, while the website is in English.
