This Helsinki student exchange organisation belongs to an international network founded in 1976 by the Swedish Ministry of Education for exchanges between the USA and the Nordic countries, and now active in over 30 countries. Students aged 15–18 can spend an exchange year in 14 countries, from the USA to Japan and Australia, while over-18s can join university and college programmes and 18–29-year-olds au pair programmes. Families can also become hosts.
Students get support from application to return, plus training before departure. Applications and requests for an information pack go through the website. The office is in the Sähkötalo building, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
