This rentable event and meeting venue has six rooms of different sizes. The house is run by the Federation of Learned Societies in Finland (TSV), active since 1899. Almost 300 scientific societies and academies are members, and many hold their meetings and events in its rooms. The building also houses the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) and the Finnish Committee for Public Information (TJNK).
The Tiedekahvila science café serves refreshments for events and meetings. The wing building houses the Finno-Ugrian Society, the Finnish Historical Society and the library of the Genealogical Society of Finland. The building is owned by Senate Properties, and TSV receives state grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture. It has a long history and art, and the website has a history section. There is an accessible toilet, but no accessible parking.
