This Art Nouveau congress centre on the shore of Eläintarhanlahti bay serves as a multi-purpose meeting and event venue, from small groups up to about 800 people. There are dozens of rooms to hire, from small rooms for a few people to a large banquet hall, in styles from historical to modern. The building has four restaurants, and a hotel opened next door in 2012 serves conference guests, business travellers and leisure visitors.
The historic granite building was designed by architect Karl Lindahl and completed in 1908 as the capital's Workers' House. In 1999 it became the first Finnish conference centre to receive the ISO 9001 quality certificate. Ready-made meeting packages are available, and events can also be tailored to your wishes. Photos, brochures and logos can be downloaded from the website. The hearing loop, seating, entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
