Designed by Alvar Aalto and completed in the 1950s, Helsinki's House of Culture was Aalto's first public building in the city. In July 2026 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of a group of Aalto's works. The main hall seats 1,400, and the programme covers concerts, stand-up and corporate and private events, with live music at the KULT club.
Tickets are bought through the event pages, and spaces, meeting rooms included, are hired on a quote. Bistro & Bar Sopu serves a weekday lunch buffet and food before shows and in the interval. The Alvar Aalto Foundation runs guided tours. Parking, the entrance and toilets are accessible.
