Founded in 2000 as its founder's long-held dream, this independent Helsinki shop stocks products for dogs, cats and other pets, focusing on quality, Finnish-made goods, small suppliers and ethics. Rabbits, guinea pigs and birds live on the premises, and a well-known resident, Roope the grey parrot, died aged 61 in summer 2019.
Services include holiday care for small pets, nail trimming for rabbits and guinea pigs, dog physiotherapy with physiotherapist Tamara Merenvalta on site, massage and Emmi-pet dental care. There is local home delivery, and products can also be posted further afield. Parking is ample, and the entrance is not step-free.
