This Helsinki music school is a community for children and young people that aims to give each pupil a positive relationship with music, combining goal-oriented study with creativity. Teaching follows the extended syllabus of Finland's basic education in the arts, funded by a state subsidy and a City of Helsinki grant. It offers instrumental tuition including individual lessons, orchestras, choirs and music theory, plus music play for young children and music classes in day-care centres.
Pupils are admitted through a selection process, and registration is online. Concerts are held in venues such as Paavalinkirkko church and Kallio Library. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
