This unit of HUS Helsinki University Hospital in Helsinki treats ear, nose and throat (ENT) patients. It houses an ENT outpatient clinic, ENT surgery and day surgery, a hearing centre, physiotherapy, dialysis units, social workers and speech therapists. It is also home to the Tauno Palva temporal bone laboratory, a microsurgical unit where doctors training as ENT specialists practise.
Outpatient care is mainly by referral or for follow-up visits. It is a smoke-free teaching hospital, and students may take part in care if the patient agrees. The car park and entrance are accessible, and cards and mobile payments are accepted.
