Opened in 1953, this is one of the two old neighbourhood bathhouses still operating in Helsinki. Men and women have separate sides, holding 30 and 20 bathers, and the heat comes from IKI stoves. You may enjoy your own drinks in the changing room, and the kiosk sells coffee, grilled sausages, soft drinks and toasted sandwiches.
The entrance is in the courtyard of a residential block and is not step-free. Trams 6 and 8 and several bus routes stop nearby. At the kiosk you can pay by cash or card, including contactless, and rent a towel. Bathers may stay for an hour after closing time. On Friday and Saturday evenings groups can book a private sauna session. The website has an English page.
