This wood-heated sauna stands right by the sea in the grounds of Villa Wuorio in Helsinki, and a ladder leads straight down into the water. Public sessions run on Thursdays and Sundays, both mixed and women-only, with room for up to ten people at a time, and children are welcome.
Public sessions can be booked on saunat.fi or directly by phone, email or Facebook Messenger. Swimwear is required, and there is one washroom and one changing room. Groups of around ten can book the place privately outside public sessions and order catering, towels or a grill. Stand-up paddleboards are also available to hire.
