Spread over two floors, this Helsinki market hall sells fresh produce, meat, fish and bread as well as gifts, jewellery, textiles, coffee, tea, organic goods and flowers, and there is even a shoe repairer. It is run by Helsingin Kaupunkitilat Oy, owned by the City of Helsinki.
The cafés and restaurants serve breakfast and lunch, and Ravintola Kirsikka also opens in the evening after the rest of the hall has closed. The website has a map of the traders, and guided food tours also take in the Old Market Hall and the Hietalahti hall. The entrance and toilets are accessible, cards and mobile payments are accepted, and parking is paid. A visit usually takes from 15 minutes to an hour.
