Run by the City of Helsinki, this swimming hall is in the heart of the city centre. The main hall has a 25-metre pool, and there is a smaller pool on the third floor. There are also saunas, a steam sauna and a bright gym with fitness classes. Swimmers can wear a swimsuit or swim nude, and women and men have separate swimming days: women on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, men on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Two saunas and a meeting room can be rented through Varaamo up to four weeks ahead, and advance tickets for the second floor can be bought online up to three weeks before a visit. Cards and mobile payments are accepted.
