This beach, run by the City of Helsinki's Culture and Leisure Division, lies in a sheltered spot on the Laajalahti shore, about five kilometres from the city centre. The bottom is sandy and the water deepens evenly. There are changing rooms, showers, toilets, an ice cream kiosk and a children's playground, and the beach is supervised in the swimming season.
In summer you can check water quality and blue-green algae on the ulkoliikunta.fi map. The beach can be reached by public transport and city bikes, with a car park nearby. Accessible parking and drop-off are over 100 metres away, the changing room has three steps and a ramp, and there is no accessible toilet on the beach.
