Founded in 1993, the regional athletics body brings together 25 Finnish-speaking clubs in the capital region and Kirkkonummi. It belongs to the Finnish Athletics Federation's district structure and joins neighbouring districts in its southern region.
The website publishes member clubs' results and reports from regional and national competitions. It also runs officials' training, including second- and third-level courses.
