Founded in 1975, this karate club offers karate and self-defence training for adults and juniors. Founder Risto Tuominen began karate in 1970. Early practice followed Shorinji-ryu, with Japanese instructor Tatsuo Kudo as the first coach.
Basic courses run twice a year. The club organises competitions and competes abroad as well. Coaching later passed to Finnish-trained instructors; head coach Jouko Turunen returned from Japan with a second-dan black belt.
