Founded in 1930 to promote motorboat sport and competitions, the club now welcomes both motorboat users and sailors. It has about 760 members and 300 boats.
The club operates two home harbours and the Fårholmen island base east of Sipoonselkä, acquired in 1954. Its children's and youth boating school runs summer day camps. Activities also include the Pajalahti boating school and boat inspections.
