Founded in 1930 to promote motorboat sport and organise competitions, the club now includes both motorboat users and sailors. It has around 760 members and 300 boats, two home harbours and the island base of Fårholmen, acquired in 1954 east of Sipoonselkä.
Children and young people can attend boating school and summer day camps. The club also runs the Pajalahti boating school and provides boat inspections. Families are included in its boating community.
