Founded in 1969, the boating club is run by member volunteers without paid staff and belongs to the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation. Its marina on Lauttasaari's west shore, beside Koivusaari metro station, has around 115 berths of different sizes. Berths are for members only and allocated by boat size and type.
The clubhouse is used for meetings and member-run night watch. Winter storage is in Koivusaari. Waste handling for the marina and storage yard, including septic pump-out, is arranged under an agreement with the regional environmental services authority HSY.
