In the old cellar of the Alexander Theatre in Helsinki, teams of 2 to 6 players have 60 minutes to complete the Opera Ghost escape game in dim, atmospheric light. The theatre opened in 1880 and was built with stones from Bomarsund, and the game draws on a legend of a Russian lieutenant who died in 1854 and is said to be bound to a brick. It was designed by Yvonne Karsten and Virgo Karp.
The game suits players with some escape room experience. The age limit is 14, and at least one player must be over 16. It can be played in Finnish, English or Swedish. The cellar is reached by stairs only, so it is not wheelchair accessible. Cards are accepted, and there is paid street parking nearby.
