Founded in 1988, this nationwide nonprofit is an expert organisation and advocate for intercultural families, with its office in Helsinki. It is non-religious and politically non-aligned, and works for two-way integration between people who have moved to Finland and those born here. It also does advocacy and research on racism and discrimination and produces the Suomi+ podcast.
Activities include peer groups, parenting courses, advice, clubs, volunteering, subsidised holidays and camps, bilingual language clubs and Munduo for intercultural young people. Visitors are welcome, but call ahead to arrange a meeting. Membership is through an online form, and the entrance is step-free.
