Founded by professional songwriters in 2016, the association brings together amateur songwriters and lyricists across Finland. Membership is open regardless of age or musical genre. Activities include training, events and finding songwriting partners.
It runs songwriter clubs, an online community, the Pöytälaatikko songwriting format and an annual song challenge. Children have the PikkuKertsi concert series, and the association publishes a music playlist.
