This training and work activity unit teaches sewing and garment repair to people in mental health rehabilitation. No previous sewing experience is required, just an interest in handicrafts. It is run by a non-profit foundation established in 1983.
Activities follow an agreement and an individual rehabilitation plan. Aims include a daily routine, maintaining and developing work ability, and progressing towards work practice, study or employment. A recovery-oriented approach centres on participants' own goals. Sewing and clothing repairs are also available to business and private customers.
Share your experience of the sewing service or work activities below if you would like to help others considering them.
