The grant-making foundations' association acts as an advocate, network, data producer and trainer for the sector. It began informally in 1970 and was registered in 2003. Around 250 members commit to its good foundation practice code.
The association publishes annual statistics on foundation support and operates in Finnish and Swedish. International cooperation involves Philea, WINGS and, on community foundations, ECFI.
