The association acts as the common voice of the Finnish private equity industry. It does advocacy work, produces research and communicates about the sector, maintains the industry's ethical rules and issues recommendations. It also publishes statements on legislation, such as the taxation of funds, and has produced impact research with PwC on the growth and employment of private-equity-backed companies.
It organises training to develop the sector and publishes statistics, research and publications on private equity in Finland. A search tool on its website helps companies find a suitable private equity investor, and the site explains venture capital, growth, buyout and startup terms. The office is in Innovation Home Kamppi.
