This interdisciplinary student nation at the University of Helsinki was founded in 1653 and had about 1,000 members in 2021. It has a library, a summer cottage at Koivuniemi, committees, clubs and its own publications. The building also houses a student restaurant open to everyone.
Any student currently enrolled at the University of Helsinki can join, and joining instructions are also in English. Members get activity groups, events, housing and scholarships. Some events need sign-up through an online form, and tickets are sold on Kide.app. The restaurant entrance is to the right of the Tavastia door. The entrance and toilets are not wheelchair accessible.
