The association is the Finnish member body of an international charity movement independent of political and religious affiliations. It has over 700 clubs and more than 15,000 members in Finland. Clubs support children, young people, families, older people and others in need.
Activities rely on unpaid volunteering. After necessary collection costs, fundraising proceeds go entirely to aid recipients. Members can take part in national and international activities and develop their skills.
