Founded in 1959, the pensioners' association runs hobby clubs, trips and cultural activities from September to May. Options include card games, senior dancing, English conversation, a choir and Thursday dances. Activities are mainly volunteer-run, with around 360 members.
Meeting places include a volunteer fire brigade hall, senior centre, workers' hall and Solhem. Membership is arranged through the national organisation, and some events are members-only. Bus and local train connections serve the venues, with car and bicycle parking available.
