This non-partisan nationalist cooperation organisation states that its aims are to preserve Finnish culture, traditions and nature and promote the Finnish language. Founded in 1998 as a youth organisation at the initiative of Suomalaisuuden Liitto, it became independent in 2000. Its emblem is the traditional hannunvaakuna symbol.
The general meeting, called suurkäräjät, is its highest decision-making body, and the executive board is called käräjät. Regional branches operate across Finnish provinces, and four national events are organised annually. The website publishes articles and events and hosts an online shop. Members must commit to shared values.
