The astronomy association publishes Finnish-language information on the night sky and atmospheric phenomena, along with Tähdet ja avaruus magazine as a membership benefit. It runs the Taivaanvahti amateur observation service and online courses in introductory astronomy and telescope use.
Public lectures are open to everyone and streamed on YouTube. Member evenings take place at the observatory and on Zoom. Youth camps are held at the Tähtikallio observation centre in Artjärvi. The premises are on Tähtitorninvuori hill.
