The academy belongs to an arts university formed in 2013 through the merger of the fine arts, music and theatre academies. The university provides higher education in these fields and presents performances, concerts and exhibitions.
A 12-week pre-incubator supports arts and creative entrepreneurs, with teaching in English. The website is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
