The trade union represents Swedish-speaking teachers and principals from early childhood education to higher education. It works on education policy and Swedish-language teacher training and trains union representatives. Local teachers' associations form its structure.
Members receive union advice, the Tidningen Läraren magazine and access to the Lärarrummet app. Student membership and a teacher student association are also available. The office entrance is wheelchair accessible.
