This is the national professional association for speech therapists and speech therapy students in Finland. It represents and advocates for its members' professional, educational and employment conditions, and has nearly 2,000 members who are either speech therapists or students training to become one. It also publishes statements and opinions on speech therapy issues, including children's and elderly care.
The association publishes the magazine Puheterapeutti and runs its own publishing house, Puheterapeuttien Kustannus oy. The website offers a directory search for speech therapists and an ICF guide for speech therapists, and it is available in Finnish and Swedish.
