The theatre company has been making theatre in the Vuoksi valley since 1903. It has six permanent actors, plus sound and light designers, a costume designer, stage crew and office staff, and almost every production includes visiting artists. The main stage is a new theatre building in the city centre, opened in February 2017, with a 202-seat auditorium. The Pikku Hiisi studio stage in the building next door hosts children's productions such as baby theatre, and the summer theatre in Kruununpuisto is used too.
The building has a restaurant with pre-ordered catering. Tours of about 30 minutes are offered for groups of 5 to 15. Spaces can be hired for events and Christmas parties, and group ticket packages are available. The entrance and spaces are step-free, and the auditorium has wheelchair spaces and an induction loop. A carer with a disability card marked A enters free.
