The association was founded in March 2018 for peer and experience-expert activists. It trains, coaches and supports people working in peer and experience-expert roles and arranges experience-expert assignments. Its goals include reducing prejudice against social and health care clients and bringing the client perspective into services.
Membership is open to anyone interested, including health and social care professionals, students and decision-makers. It works in Central Uusimaa in cooperation with social and health services and other associations. An alcohol- and drug-free living room for adults welcomes visitors for coffee to get to know the activities, and peer gatherings and recreational activities support recovery and community.
