Founded by Sulo and Irja Kauppinen in 1963, the family business processes, markets and exports Finnish wild berries and mushrooms. The second generation leads the company, with the third also involved. Its main product is porcini, over 90 per cent of which is exported, with fresh mushrooms sent mainly to Italy.
Chanterelles, bilberries and crayfish are sold to domestic wholesale markets. Operations follow the harvest seasons, peaking in late summer and autumn. The premises have cold and freezer storage. The entrance and car park are accessible.
