Founded by Erkki and Inkeri Salomaa in 1980, this foundation awards individual grants to young competitive athletes and coaches in North Karelia. Support mainly covers training, education, competitions and training camp travel. It also supports youth culture and study activities and rehabilitation and maintenance activities for local war invalids.
The foundation owns and rents residential and commercial properties. Its office is in the Iso Myy shopping centre and has an accessible entrance.
