The association develops the city centre with residents, businesses and other local organisations. It supports and organises activities including markets, pumpkin carving and a Christmas window competition. The Maaseudun Näyteikkuna project showcases rural services and culture in North Karelia.
Local city-centre entrepreneurs and businesses can become members. The office is in Iso Myy shopping centre.
