This housing cooperative was founded in Hammaslahti in 1906 and runs on cooperative principles, with a focus on local ties and ecological solutions. It rents apartments in a 42-unit low-rise complex in the Siihtala residential area along the Pielisjoki river. Sister cooperatives also offer home services and a work cooperative.
The apartments have floor heating from a ground-source heat pump and ground-cold cooling through room fan coils. The buildings are energy class A, with part of the energy produced by solar panels. Each building has a passenger lift, and the balconies are glazed. Residents share a multi-purpose room and a sauna section, and apartments in buildings B to D have their own sauna.
