Scenic lunch and evening cruises sail on Lake Päijänne from the harbour. Lunch cruises use the s/s Suomi steamship, built in 1906, with a seasonal buffet prepared in its own kitchen. The ship has a licensed restaurant, café, bar and a history exhibition. Its engineer can explain the steam technology.
The buffet is mostly lactose-free and gluten-free, with a vegan option by pre-order. Dogs are allowed on a lead. A limited number of manual wheelchairs can be accommodated, so advance booking is recommended; ships have an accessible toilet. Tickets and gift vouchers are sold online.
