This old wooden-house courtyard is named after the blacksmith Herman Toivola, who owned it in the 1800s. One courtyard combines restaurant, cultural and design services: a café, boutiques, a free museum, lunch and a six-course dinner. The venues include Kellari, Paja Ravintola and Kulttuurisuoja, and the Pappila concert series is held in Vanha Pappila.
The courtyard runs its own events, such as murder-mystery dinners, an escape room and stand-up club nights. Private parties and corporate events can be held from small gatherings up to around 600 people, and Paja Ravintola tailors catering and programme to each occasion. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
