The academy supports student athletes in combining studies and sport training in Central Finland. It works with the region's schools, sports clubs and coaches, and its activities cover lower secondary, upper secondary and higher education across the region.
It is supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture as part of the Finnish Olympic Committee's sports academy programme. Athlete testing and laboratory services are provided through KIHU Sports Lab. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
