A roughly 200-year-old main building and a garden make up this rural farmstead about 5 km from the city centre. It is run by Äijälän Talon Elo ry, which changed its name in 2019 from Äijälän vammaisten tuki ry; the association was founded in 1980 to help people with disabilities adapt to society. On weekdays there is day activity for people with intellectual disabilities, with crafts, gardening, cooking, outdoor activities and music. Rehabilitative work activity takes place in the garden and on the property, purchased as a service by the wellbeing services county. The work follows Green Care principles.
Short-term residential care and supervised holidays are offered to people needing daytime support, their relatives and others needing help. On Thursdays there is an open day for seniors with lunch and afternoon coffee. A weekly MLL family café meets here, and summer children's nature and heritage camps are held. Garden produce is sold in season. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
