Founded in 2000, the Leader group awards business and project support from the EU rural development fund. Its more than 250 members include individuals, associations, small businesses and municipalities. The twelve-member board represents municipalities, communities and residents.
Associations, communities and businesses can obtain advice from project planning through implementation and closure. The group also runs its own projects and publishes annual activity reports. Its office is in Voimala Businesspark.
