The cooperative, founded in 1999, provides accounting and financial administration mainly for third-sector organisations. The association, established in 2001, advises civil society organisations, coordinates development projects and runs a civic activity centre.
The premises are at Matara. Activities include the Lähellä.fi and LähelläPro platforms for associations, municipalities and wellbeing services counties, plus regional civil society surveys. The association also acts as an intermediary for third-sector project programmes.
