This public beach on the north shore of the Kuusistonsalmi strait is the only EU-classified bathing site in Kaarina, with excellent water quality. A rope marks the swimming area, beyond which the bottom drops into the boat channel. The long wooden pier has changing shelters and ladders, with water normally under two metres deep.
During the swimming season, 15 June to 31 August, rescue equipment and toilets are provided. Jumping off the pier, swimming in the boat channel, smoking and dogs are not allowed. The toilet in the sauna building has a drinking water tap, and the beach restaurant sells soft drinks. Ice swimming is possible in winter. The large car park fills up on fine days.
