This unit belongs to the Kainuu wellbeing services county, which provides the region's public social and health care. Kainuu residents can use rehabilitation research and special therapy services: speech therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition therapy and rehabilitation guidance. Psychologist and health social work services and a rehabilitation research outpatient clinic are also included.
Units are located at Kainuu Central Hospital, the Sotkamo and Suomussalmi social and health centres and the Kuhmo family centre. Students are offered placements through a student coordinator. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible. The unit is in the Tieto 3 building.
