The non-profit foundation has provided accessible rental housing for older residents since the 1970s. It has 64 apartments, including 16 at Puolakanrinne. Homes have step-free access, accessible kitchen space and bathrooms suitable for wheelchairs or walking frames.
Some apartments have sprinklers. Buildings were financed with ARA housing funding. The foundation also leases a 16-place group home to Eloisa, the South Savo wellbeing services county.
